|Pick your poison.
That essentially what you be doing in the first round of your fantasy draft this season.
For the first time in years, it seems that there isn a single player who lacks a red flag. Usually, you have two or three guys near the top of the draft who are can guys. That not the case this time around.
There are five guys with a good case to be the first pick overall, which only serves to make our lives much more difficult come draft day. When you consider that possible first round picks last year like Adrian Peterson, Montee Ball and Giovani Bernard all finished well outside the top scorers of the position for a variety of reasons, there definitely cause for skepticism when looking for your top pick.
As close to a consensus first overall pick as there gets, Peterson has the most confidence behind him from experts and regular Joes alike, when Cheap NFL Jerseys you cheap jerseys look at average draft position in mocks.
His biggest red flag is the fact that he only played one game last season before his suspension. But when you consider his age (30 years old is ancient for RBs), maybe the de facto year off isn that bad.
Peterson is a fantasy player dream, having rushed for at least 1,200 yards in every season that he has played more than 12 games and has scored double digit TDs in every season except 2014.
The Vikings should also be in the playoff hunt and a better team overall.
Of course, that year off could be a killer nfl shop and backs have been known to see their production tumble at age nfl store 30.
Marshawn Lynch is currently Yahoo projected No. 1 back in fantasy for the 2015 season, but he is another player getting up there in the age category at 29.
Beast Mode has been consistently great since arriving in Seattle, rushing for at least 1,200 yards and scoring at Wholesale China Jerseys least 12 TDs in each of his four seasons.
The biggest concern about Lynch is his team commitment to him. Lynch nearly retired in the off season before signing what amounts to a year to year deal. The Seahawks have a couple of backs who could step in, but haven gotten the chance with Lynch being the bellcow could that change with his end nearing?
The Seahawks also went out and got Jimmy Graham this off season, who figures to be a threat in the passing game down at the goal line, potentially eating into Lynch touches. And we all saw what happened at the goal line late in the Super Bowl.
After a rough start to the 2014 season in which he averaged just 40.2 yards per game, Eddie Lacy came on strong and remains one of the league best backs while playing for one of the most prolific offences.
The problem is that offence is largely based around Aaron Rodgers and the passing game. When the Pack run up the score, it usually through the air.
Lacy has also picked up a variety of minor injuries over his first two seasons, leading to a little bit more James Starks than owners would like to see. Fullback John Kuhn is also a known TD vulture.
If it weren for his two game suspension from last year DUI, Le Bell would be the runaway choice for top pick. When you figure in the Steelers bye week and non fantasy relevant Week 17, Bell will only be playing 13 weeks for you this season if he healthy and is still ranked in the top five in cheap jerseys the position.
But when he plays, he damn good, racking up 2,215 total yards last season. If you take him, just remember to pick up a good replacement for the first two weeks.
The final player with a case to go first overall is Jamaal Charles, a fantasy staple in recent seasons and the top running back from 2013.
Surprisingly, Charles has the most strikes against him of the top five. He has been known to get banged up, his rushing yards have dropped the past three seasons, he on the worst team of the potential top picks and the Chiefs will be able to actually throw the ball to a receiver this year after signing Jeremy Maclin.
What we likely looking at from Charles is another good season, but not a great one.
With this many question marks surrounding the best guys, just imagine how puzzling the rest of this year draft could be.
WHAT ABOUT GRONK?
Considering the gap between Rob Gronkowski and his fellow tight ends, there a case to be made that he should be one of the top picks in your draft. Or should he?
While Gronk is far and away the top TE he the only one in our top tier at the position the advantage isn as big as it seems.
Though he led his position by 30.3 fantasy points, that only 1.9 points per game. And when you consider that you be forgoing a top RB and likely taking a second tier back in the second round, the projected points total of Gronk and that second back is below that of a top RB and a second round WR or RB. Taking, say, Jimmy Graham in the third round would actually have you ahead in projections.
There also the issue of playing without Tom Brady for at least a couple of games and that Gronkowski does have an injury history that shouldn be entirely ignored.
